Beauty Secrets | Ipsy

If you know me, you know two things. Well, you know a lot of things, but two in particular. They are:
1. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for, and
2. I’m also all about deals–minus extreme couponing.
What do I mean? I’m 1000% willing to pay for quality. There’s no sense in saving money + getting garbage because you saved. I’m also about saving money at the right time, but I’m not going to lose my mind by being an extreme grocery hoarder, I mean couponer. Example: my Cartwheel app at Target. Here we go with Target again. You’ll get used to it. If I can save a few dollars on my grocery bill or on a dress. If you don’t shop at Target, you’re missing out especially on their clothes…. But that’s not what this post is about. This is about Ipsy!

If you haven’t heard of Ipsy, they’re a makeup subscription service who, for only $10/month, will send you five deluxe samples of their favorite makeup products in a cute makeup bag. They call it their “Glam Bag.” Before subscribing to Ipsy, I was always in need of a makeup bag. I travel frequently so I’m always needing to pack + unpack my makeup. As soon as I’d unpack, I’d lose my makeup bag + would need a new one. Now that I’m getting one once a month, I’m never in need of one. They also help me keep my large weekender I bought a while ago at Charming Charlie that I use as my (large) toiletry bag super organized.

My July bag just arrived. This bag design isn’t my favorite. That title belongs to March’s pale pink + silver bag–it’s huge! This bag is interesting, to say the least…

This month I find myself the proud owner of these new products:

trèStiQue’s Mini Concealer Crayon.
Chella’s Eyebrow Cream.
Caudalie’s Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet.
Nomad Cosmetics’ Highlighter.
tarte cosmetics’ Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer.

As I try them, I’ll be sure to let you know how I like them. Ipsy has sent me some products from trèStiQue + Chella before so I’m familiar with those brands + I’m already a big fan of tarte so I know the bronzer will be good. The highlighter from Nomad Cosmetics I’m a little skeptical about. I haven’t had much luck with highlighters from Ipsy, but I’m going to give it a fair shot before deciding.

If Ipsy sounds like something you need in your life, you can get $5 off your first month’s Glam Bag by clicking here. Bringing it full circle here at the end, + helping you save money!
